The production of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King has come under renewed scrutiny after alleged leaked footage and an AI-generated fan edit began circulating widely on social media, prompting the makers to strengthen on-set security during the final phase of filming.

The film, directed by Siddharth Anand, is currently in its last stage of production in Mumbai. Reports suggest that unauthorized content, including still images and partial clips from the set, contributed to the creation of a 15-minute AI-generated fan video that quickly went viral before being taken down.

The circulating edit reportedly compiled leaked visuals, paparazzi footage, and set images to present a speculative “mini version” of the film. The video spread rapidly across social platforms, raising concerns among the production team about repeated breaches of confidentiality.

The situation escalated further after reports indicated that portions of key climax sequences had also been leaked online. This has intensified pressure on the production unit, which is already working through the final stretch of filming.

In response, security has been significantly tightened at the Ghodbunder Road shooting location on the outskirts of Mumbai. The area, which remains partially accessible to the public, has been a recurring challenge for maintaining strict confidentiality during outdoor shoots.

Production insiders revealed that the team has been dealing with multiple leak incidents over several weeks, including images from international filming schedules and critical action sequences. As a result, stricter surveillance and monitoring systems have now been put in place to prevent further unauthorized recordings.

Despite the disruptions, King remains in its final phase of production, with approximately two months of shooting still left. The team is simultaneously handling action sequences, patchwork scenes, and ongoing visual effects work to keep the project on track.

Industry sources expect principal photography to conclude by the end of July, followed by an extended post-production phase. The filmmakers are aiming for a high-quality cinematic experience, with heavy emphasis on action and visual storytelling.

Director Siddharth Anand has also urged audiences and fans not to share or circulate any leaked material from the set, stressing that the team is focused on delivering a polished final product.

The production team continues to implement stricter on-ground controls to ensure that no further unauthorized footage reaches the public before the official release.
