Pakistani actress Iqra Aziz has expressed deep distress following reports of the alleged assault of a 10-month-old infant in Mandi Bahauddin, Punjab.

“I have a seven month old baby in my arms, and I honestly don’t have the words to describe what I’m feeling,” she wrote, describing herself as numb and speechless.
Iqra questioned how anyone could allegedly harm a defenseless child and used the incident to raise broader concerns about consent, personal boundaries, safety and respect.
The actress also questioned what she described as a disturbing sense of entitlement toward women and children, calling for greater awareness and responsibility within society.
Iqra argued that conversations around sex education cannot be separated from basic lessons about consent, boundaries and respect. She suggested that children and society need stronger awareness of these issues as part of efforts to prevent abuse.
The actress also made it clear that her criticism of the situation should not be interpreted as a rejection of Pakistan.
Iqra said she loves the country and considers Pakistan her home. However, she stressed that loving the country should not mean remaining silent about serious problems that need to be addressed.
