“As if being trans is a diss,” says the Rhode founder in viral podcast moment
Hailey Bieber is clapping back at online trolls — with elegance and empowerment.
The 28-year-old model and Rhode Beauty founder addressed a wave of online comments comparing her to transgender women, turning the narrative into a moment of inclusivity and strength.
During her appearance on the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast, Hailey tackled the transphobic remarks head-on, saying she refuses to view such comments as insults.
“When people are trying to be mean, they’re like, ‘She looks trans.’ And I’m like, why do you think that’s a diss?” Hailey said.
“As if being trans is a diss — some of the most beautiful women and men in the world are trans. So I just don’t take that offensively at all.”
Fans Applaud Her Empowering Response
After the podcast clip went viral, fans flooded social media with praise for Hailey’s classy comeback.
“Hailey clocked people using ‘trans’ as an insult,” one fan commented on X.
“Love how she clapped the transphobic haters. Queen behavior!” wrote another.
Supporters also highlighted the significance of her statement in promoting inclusivity within the fashion and beauty industries — where trans visibility continues to rise.
On Motherhood and Moving Forward
Hailey, who shares a one-year-old son Jack Blues with husband Justin Bieber, has often been candid about her experiences with online scrutiny.
In a Vogue interview earlier this year, she admitted she’s “done fighting trolls” who criticize her appearance and speculate about her marriage.
“I feel like I’ve fought so hard to try to get people to understand me, but some just don’t want to. I’ve learned there’s nothing you can do about that,” she said.
Despite the noise, Hailey revealed she’s “definitely” looking forward to expanding her family, adding that motherhood has been “the most beautiful, grounding experience.”
Choosing Grace Over Gossip
Known for her calm and collected demeanor, Hailey has once again shown she won’t be defined by online negativity.
By reclaiming a hateful comment and turning it into a message of pride and inclusion, she reaffirmed her reputation as one of Hollywood’s most poised and self-assured voices.
“Hailey handled that with so much grace,” one fan wrote. “That’s how you silence hate — with kindness and confidence.”
