Telugu actress Nidhhi Agerwal has spoken out against victim-blaming following controversial remarks made by actor Sivaji. The dispute stems from an incident at a recent song launch for her upcoming film The Raja Saab at Lulu Mall in Hyderabad, where a large crowd mobbed her as she tried to leave the venue.
At a press conference, Sivaji suggested that actresses should dress modestly, implying that Nidhhi’s outfit had “provoked” the crowd. He contrasted the situation with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, claiming she was “luckily” in a saree during a separate event. When asked about harassment regardless of attire, Sivaji maintained that dressing modestly could reduce such risks, citing other actresses like Sai Pallavi and Anushka Sharma as examples.

Responding on social media, Nidhhi shared a picture from the event with the caption, “Blaming the victim is called manipulation,” making her stance clear without directly naming Sivaji. The comments sparked widespread debate about the safety of women in public spaces and the persistence of victim-blaming in the entertainment industry.
Sivaji later defended his statements, claiming he was offering advice and not blaming anyone, stating, “Gen Z do not know better, they want to touch artists. Even Sridevi was once touched in Tenali when she was shooting there.” His remarks, however, drew significant criticism from both fans and celebrities online.
Nidhhi Agerwal, a former model turned actress, has built a notable career across Bollywood, Telugu, and Tamil cinema. She made her Bollywood debut in 2017 with Munna Michael opposite Tiger Shroff, earning the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. Transitioning to South Indian films, she gained prominence with Savyasachi (2018) and achieved commercial success with iSmart Shankar (2019). Her filmography also includes Mr. Majnu (2019), Tamil debut Eeswaran (2021), Bhoomi (2021), Hero (2022), and Kalaga Thalaivan (2022).

Trained in ballet, Kathak, and belly dance, Nidhhi has cultivated a versatile and growing body of work, earning industry recognition including a SIIMA nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu. She continues to expand her presence in Indian cinema with the upcoming pan‑India project The Raja Saab alongside Prabhas.
