Pakistani actress Zara Noor Abbas has stepped behind the camera for the first time, directing the new music video Baazi, composed and sung by her brother Ahmed Abbas Gill. Released on March 21, 2026, to coincide with Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, Baazi marks a major milestone in Zara’s career, showcasing her transition from acting to directing.
Sharing behind-the-scenes insights, Zara revealed that her creative synergy with Ahmed inspired her to bring his musical vision to life on screen. She described the process as intuitive, saying, “Everyone was looking at me for direction, but honestly, I didn’t know what needed to be shot. It was just in my head, almost like flashes coming in front of my eyes. I knew I had to do this for my brother and I did.”

The music video features a talented ensemble, including Fairy Ghouri, Muzaffar Mehmood, Aasim Sheikh, and child actor Hasnain, delivering a cinematic narrative that goes beyond a traditional performance video. Styling and conceptualization were handled by Sameen Ahmed, with makeup by Nabila Salon, cinematography by Syed Salman Shah, and final track mastering by Jay Ali.

The poster for Baazi features Zara in a gritty, mugshot-style frame holding a chalkboard labeled “ZARA #777,” symbolizing a character “who had no room for errors” and setting the tone for the video’s high-stakes narrative.

Fans and critics have praised Zara’s directorial debut, celebrating both her successful sibling collaboration and the creative storytelling that elevates Ahmed’s music into a cinematic experience. Baazi reflects Zara’s artistic versatility and her ability to bring fresh narratives to Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
