Bollywood’s biggest reality show is back — and so is Salman Khan, with an astronomical paycheck that matches the hype. According to insiders, the star will earn between ₹120 crore and ₹150 crore for hosting the first 15 weeks of Bigg Boss 19.

Set to premiere on August 30, the latest edition of the show comes with a major shift in format. This season will adopt a hybrid broadcast model, premiering on JioCinema OTT before hitting Colors TV with a 90-minute delay. This change caters to both digital and traditional audiences, making Bigg Boss 19 one of the most ambitious seasons yet.

Khan, who has been the face of the franchise for over a decade, reportedly shot the teaser on July 21, with production stretching well into the night. The promo, rumored to include political satire, hints at a narrative-driven and culturally reflective tone for the new season.

The season will run for five months, the longest duration in Bigg Boss history. While Salman Khan will host the first three months, other celebrities like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor may take over in the final phase.

Though the official contestant list is still under wraps, speculated names include actors Dheeraj Dhupar, Gaurav Khanna, Alisha Panwar, and Khushi Dubey, along with influencers like Mr. Faisu, Flying Beast, and Makey Makeover.

The shift in content strategy and Khan’s massive remuneration indicate a bold new chapter for the reality juggernaut, with more surprises yet to unfold.
